I don't think she really likes us that much.

You know that sweet, smiley, only sometimes cantankerous baby that used to live with us? Well, another, crabbier baby has replaced her.

The switch happened Friday night. She didn't sleep at all. She didn't sleep at all during the day yesterday, and hasn't yet slept today. It's 1:30 as I write this.

And she has been screeching all day.

We are hoping it's a phase. A fluke. That it will quickly go away. That this baby:

Will soon be replaced by the original.

Did your babies ever do this??

(note, if you had a baby that NEVER slept, especially one that shares DNA with Anna, please don't tell me about it. This means you, mom. :)

Yes, I had a baby who did that!

One thing to try, although it doesn't appear from the photos that this is the issue, is to see if there's anything irritating or too hot with what she's wearing.

After my daughter squawked continually in those blanket sleeper things -- blanket sleepers that kept her warm even if she turned over, that my friends' little babies were perfectly content in -- I finally figured out that the blanket sleeper was a problem. No blanket sleeper, no crying. Or, less crying anyway.

Hugs to you all.

Oh Sarah,
Both of my babies screamed for MANY hours out of the day. They both had colic and they both had reflux. Olivia screamed for 3 months and Isaac for the first 12 months of life. But Isaac did sleep all through the night, so at least we got sleep at night. Looking forward to our visit in January. Love ya
