A Monkey's Uncle

After months and months of waiting, a couple weeks ago, Anna got a very special visitor. Her Uncle Saeth (Wise Uncle Saeth, as he likes to be called) returned from Australia and came to KS to visit his baby niece!

He was quick to scoop her up for cuddles...

And in no time at all, he had uncling down pat. He was amused by her funny, 5-month-old faces...

That particular week, she was really into sticking out her tongue. And drooling, of course.

Soon, Saeth was showing her his tricks:

...and it didn't take long for her to catch on!

While he was visting, Wise Uncle wanted to be the one to feed her and rock her to sleep. He's a natural.

Anna loved the attention of having her grandparents and uncle visit. She's turning into a bit of a ham.

...even imitating the "too cool for school" look. Sheesh. Think she got this expression from him??

These two were fast friends and since then, the wise uncle has had a great time with this baby and we are so very glad he's back.

I'm thinking there will be lots of fun and cuddles in years to come, 'cause these two?

Definitely two peas in a pod.

The Other Baby

This guy has been sitting sweetly by...

...listening to all the people talking in happy voices.

He quickly comes running, confused when the happy voices aren't talking to him.

But this guy is still my baby. My #1 "Baby Dog." And he loves it!

22 Weeks

Occasionally, it's hard to get this baby to smile for her weekly photo. This was not one of those weeks!

Rice Cereal!

As any good 5 month-old will tell you, Rice Cereal is where it's at!

Well, sort of.

She eventually decided she liked it, but the whole "learning to swallow" thing...

will have to come later.

Maybe when she's six months.

21 Weeks for the Traveling Babe

Well, our girl technically reached week 21 while spending time with her Grandma in Florida.

But we didn't take her photo until we returned.

This week, she really started getting the hang of focusing in on something, then grabbig it. The progress she made on this while we were in Florida was remarkable.

Though apparently, she's unimpressed. Nonetheless, it was great fun to spend her 21st week in a different place...

But, of course, it was good to get home!

Just before we left for Florida, baby girl took her 20 week photos...and she was SO excited to be in her warm weather clothes!

Ok, it was morning and she's always full of smiles in the morning.

But leaving winter to wear fun dresses every day?

Who wouldn't be excited about that?
