Strollin'!

The other day, we had a heat wave pay us a little visit!
Temps in the high 70's are oh-so-welcome in February!

Miss Anna hasn't had the chance to try out her stroller sans car seat yet, so we did just that...

...and she LOVED it! She cooed and kicked for our entire 50-minute walk!

Yes, indeed, I think she's mine, this little lover of the outdoors!

Beautiful November Day!

Today it again topped 70 degrees! We've been enjoying unseasonably warm fall weather and this is likely the last day of it, so of course I had to take some photos. I had grand ambitions of capturing Oggy and Anna in the leaves, but it only kinda worked:

It's hard to take photos in the leaves when you don't have any muscle control...

...and your mom is trying to fit in a photo session and a walk before sunset! Thank goodness for Grandma!

Hot, Hot, Hot!

The last couple of weeks here in Kansas have been hot, hot, hot! Heat indexes (an all-important scale because it's extremely humid!) have been in the 109 degree range! As the Minnesotans would say, "uff da!"

I don't mind hot weather and am not complaining, it's just something you can't help but note when you walk outside! Which I haven't been doing much of lately. In an effort to avoid getting too hot, I zip from my air-conditioned house to my air-conditioned car to my air-conditioned office, then repeat! hee.

Also notable? The quick expansion of my belly! As I wrap up my 30th week, this approx. 3 lb baby is getting big!

I often find myself exclaiming over the size of the belly to Michael. Not complaining, I am enjoying this, but find myself needing to note it because it just seems so unbelievable! To look down and not see my toes?? Fun stuff!

(29 weeks):
On one hand, I can't believe it's only approx. 9 weeks away from d-day...on the other hand, I can't imagine how big this is going to get if it keeps growing for that long and doubles in size! Yowza!

Here's to hanging in the AC!

It. Just. Keeps. Snowing.

And I gotta admit...I'm loving it.
This: Really makes me feel at home. Here is KS, snow is a temporary thing. Like "Oh, cool! Look! Snow! Too bad it will be gone tomorrow!"

Here, snow falls, then melts.
Except this week. It started on Christmas Eve, and it's still hangin' round. Yay!

The drift in our backyard is a great obstacle for the dog...

And the driveway has required more than a couple shovelings! This is what really makes you appreicate the other 9 snow-less months!

More Fabulous Fall

Mmm. I love this time of year!! It's another beautiful, sunny, 60+ degree day!

So...we enlisted a little help to do some raking...
Then took pics in the leaves!

..and admired the golf course colors from the deck!

Yay, fall!

A Beautiful Autumn Sunday!

So far, the majority of our October days have been gray and rainy, but today was beautiful, sunny and 60 degrees!

After church we took in favorite nephew's football game (really? kids football on Sundays? What happened to a day of rest from the yuppie rat race??)...

...followed by a photo session

...then a trip to the pumpkin patch!

Well, it's sort of a patch. A church in our neighborhood sells pumpkins each fall to raise money for their missions. It works out great because it's close...

...and they {love} dogs! Oggy, anyway! Most "patches" don't allow puppies...so this one is our favorite! (it looks like he isn't pleased with my selection :)

It just took a few minutes to find the perfect pumpkins! Can't wait to carve them next weekend!
