Month 9

Well, our girl is growing like a weed and I am WAY behind on blogging.

Work has been insane...life is busy...and a mobile girl has...

...well...

turned our lives upside down!

Ha! Ok, not really, but we are enjoying this girl! I'm going to try doing some bloggy-catch up, so here is a look at month 9!

She continues to be able to cruise all over. She crawls at the speed of light and pulls herself up on things. In the morning she LOVES to unpack my make-up bag.

Everything is great fun.

This recent birthday party for Aunt Jen was her first time playing with wrapped gifts.

Good fun!

At her 9 month appointment, she:

- weighed 16.9 lbs (9th percentile)

- was 27 inches tall (can't remember which this was. I'll update if I can find it :)

- was really verbal. We told the dr. " you're going to think we're crazy, but we think she says 'Oggy', the name of her dog." Before the Dr. could answer, Anna exclaimed, "Oggy! DOGGIE! Oggy!!"

She also does lots of "so big." Seen here demonstrating just how big Anna is:

Oggy, Oggy, Everywhere!

We are lucky to have a little petting zoo close to our house. Anna loves it and her favorites are the ducks (above). A few weeks ago, my parents came to visit and we enjoyed the zoo. She had lots o' adventures while there...

It cracks us up when does things like this!

She and her dad had did some exploring...

And we even managed a family photo. These are rare.

Anna went down a slide for the first time...
...but the most fun was, of course, the animals.

She and her GranDan checked out the ducks...and with each new animal we encountered...

...she would seriously study it for a bit...

...then clap her hand and exclaim with glee, "Oggy! Oggy"

Oh, well. At least she was sort of right on this one! :)

Sweet Memories: Michigan Edition

Back at the beginning of June, I packed this girl up and headed to Michigan! We met my momma part way and took Anna to where my mom is from and lots of family lives! This girl was a doll...charming everyone with her 8 mo.old self!

The most special part to me was Anna getting to meet and hang with her Gigi (my grandma DJ!) Here she is taking apart the ductwork in Gigi's house :).
DJ and I have a special bond with our babies...turns out Anna was born on the exact same day as my uncle Mike (this is Uncle Bob...don't seem to have a pic of Uncle Mike, darn it!) Anyway, DJ and I had babies on the exact same day...just 59 years apart! So we've been able to compare milestones. At Christmas, 2 month-old Anna was entranced with the lights the tree. Grandma remembered Mike was too, at his first Christmas, etc. She knew when Anna would start crawling, walking, etc.
Anna loved her Gigi. They're both pretty animated and had a ball chatting...

...and singing. (turns out they both loooove to sing :)
Gigi helped take care of miss Anna...
...and introduced baby to a one of her friends.
This is one of my all-time favorite photos of our four generations.
All-in-all, we were so pleased with how friendly Anna was and took to relatives she'd never met with no problem. Here she's hanging with Uncle Bob:
Cousin Nanea was SO excited to meet the baby, but didn't get there until after she gone to sleep (we "checked" on Anna several times). The next morning, we brought Anna over to play for a bit.

Memories to treasure, for sure!

Girl on the Move!

Well, one thing is for sure!

This girl likes to Move it! Move it!
{cue the song from "Madagascar"}

The weekly photo shoots are becoming a practice in acrobatics...and it's "all hands on deck" to keep blocks and place and babies from falling.

But the smiles and photos are so worth it! We can't believe how much she's growing!

Woo hoo! 35 weeks!

A Whole New View!

In the category of things I want to remember...
This was May 21. I decided to put a few things away in Anna's room, so I put her in her crib to play.

Typically, she's not sitting up when she's in there and usually has a sleep sack on. No sooner did I put her in there and she reached up and stood right up as though she'd been doing that her whole life! I was shocked!

By the look on her face, she was too!

I grabbed a couple of videos to send to her dad and he couldn't believe it! She got a kick out of herself...

Then proceeded to walk around the crib. As soon as he came home, we lowered that mattress!

32 Weeks

Life is good when you're smiling so much that your eyes are squished shut in all of your photos!

This snuggly, buggly girl is growing like a weed, learning new tricks and cracking us up!

Sweet as pie and full of fun!
