1 Year!!

Wow, how a year has flown. Seems like we were just taking the first big bear photos in the hospital and here we are.

I do intend to write a well-thought out, reflective one year post, but this isn't it. This is to share our Month 12 big bear photo!

Here it is!

These got harder the older she got, since sitting in once place pretty much never happens.

The day Anna turned one, we spent the day home together.

At one point, she ran into the living room, grabbed the remotes, then brought them to the kitchen and threw them in the dog's bowl.

As I was retrieving them, she flew through the kitchen, into the bathroom, then back through the kitchen in a matter of seconds.

Something told me (that 6th momsense, perhaps?) that I had better see what she did in the bathroom.

It's going to be an exhausting year.

Anna loves to play, loves to run, loves to eat. You wouldn't know it, though. Stats from her one-year check up show:
18.8 lbs (6th percentile)
20 inches (40th percentil)
I knew those legs had gotten long! She great 3 inches in 3 months!

We are really adoring this bundle of energy...

and can't wait for what year two has in store.

Month 9

Well, our girl is growing like a weed and I am WAY behind on blogging.

Work has been insane...life is busy...and a mobile girl has...

...well...

turned our lives upside down!

Ha! Ok, not really, but we are enjoying this girl! I'm going to try doing some bloggy-catch up, so here is a look at month 9!

She continues to be able to cruise all over. She crawls at the speed of light and pulls herself up on things. In the morning she LOVES to unpack my make-up bag.

Everything is great fun.

This recent birthday party for Aunt Jen was her first time playing with wrapped gifts.

Good fun!

At her 9 month appointment, she:

- weighed 16.9 lbs (9th percentile)

- was 27 inches tall (can't remember which this was. I'll update if I can find it :)

- was really verbal. We told the dr. " you're going to think we're crazy, but we think she says 'Oggy', the name of her dog." Before the Dr. could answer, Anna exclaimed, "Oggy! DOGGIE! Oggy!!"

She also does lots of "so big." Seen here demonstrating just how big Anna is:

5 Months (and This Mama is SOOOO Sad)

Well, in the classic mantra of parents everywhere, "I can't believe my baby is growing so quickly!! 5 Months??!? Where did the time go?"

{{Sniff. Sniff.}}

Here she is with her great big bear.

She is so much fun and has so much personality.

Where ever I take her, strangers comment on her big, blue eyes.
She then flashes them a big, huge smile.

Also frequently commented on? The Drool.
Oooooh, the drool.
It never ends. But is sorta adorable too.
Sorta.

How do I slow down the time?
I am making a point to enjoy each day with this speedily growing baby.
To document.
To photograph.
To remember how perfectly right it feels to cuddle her in my arms.
She is truly all I've ever wanted out of life.

God is so good.

Love you, Anna.

4 Months Old!

Anna is 4 months old!

She is continuing to chunk up and is weighing in at 12 lbs, 11 oz. Her chubby thighs are simply scrumptious.

This month, she started to giggle, which is the cutest thing we can possibly imagine! She adores her dad to the point that she stops whatever she's doing (including eating) whenever she hears his voice to find him!

The last month brought her first sickness (head cold! Bummer!) and her mom's first out-of-town trip. We all survived both!

She is getting realllly strong and is constantly straining to do "get out" of her chairs, carseats, etc. Though I don't know what she would do if she were to succeed.

She's started to grab with a death grip (as evidenced above) and if she grabs the skin on your neck...ow!...she is a strong girl!

She has a decisive personality and her smiles are enormous. I am so in love with this baby, it's surreal.

So, so blessed to be her mama.

Anna: 3 Months Old

Well, the bear pics weren't great this month, but I still love to do them!

She is so funny lying on that thing! Good gauge of how she's grown!

She as an even 12 pounds about a week before this was taken, so I'm guessing she's doubled her birth weight! Yowza! This growing girl is so much fun!

Anna: 2 Months Old

The 2-month mark has come and gone!!

Hard to believe this sweet girl has been part of our lives for that long! (well, longer, technically, but you know what I mean)

Anna had her 2 month check-up last week.

She weighs 10 lbs, 13 oz (44th percentile)
She is 22.75 inches long (52nd percentile)
and her head circumference is 38.5 cm, which only puts her in the 37th percentile.
So far, so good on the fear she'd get her mama's ginormous noggin.
:)

She is an absolute delight of a baby (this girl is long gone! Phew!) She is sleeping 10-14 hours per night, with a wake-up midway to eat and then right back to sleep. Then, she's up for about an hour and a half before going down for a 4-5 hour nap!

Someone asked me the other day if I needed a break. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out what from? I love every moment I spend with this sweet baby!

Talk about a happy mama. That's me!

A Bear-y Fun Gift!

The day Miss Anna was born, her Grandpa went out and bought her a teddy bear.

A big teddy bear.

And brought said bear to the hospital!

It quite topic of conversation in our tiny hospital room.

Now, it sits in her room. Here she is with the bear at one month:

I have a feeling this is going to be a very special toy for this girl!
